Dear Connor,
For the first night you spent in your own bed in a hotel, we forgot your pajamas. You slept in some not-so-cozy pants and a long-sleeve shirt that you hadn't slobbered over yet.
You hopped right in and asked if we were going to sleep with you. We did hang out for a bit--with Mark and I wedged in on either side of you--and we watched the only child-friendly shows we could find: cooking shows on the Food Network.
We thought you'd just nod off peacefully, but you stayed up until 10:30 that first night (11 on the second), and we nervously left you in that big bed after Mark stuffed all not-in-use pillows around the bed.
You slept well, but did wake up both days at 7 am asking if you could sleep with us, which of course we agreed to. Plus, it afforded us another 1 hour + of sleep.
